This article explains what AI creators are and how to understand if a creator uploads AI-generated media.
What is an AI creator?
An AI creator is a creator account where the content - photos, videos, chat messages, or sometimes voice - is generated by artificial intelligence. AI creators are a fully recognised and verified category on Fanvue. Every AI creator account goes through the same verification process as human creators, so they are not random or anonymous - they are verified accounts.
AI-enhanced creators
Some creators on Fanvue are real people who may use AI tools as part of their content or interactions - for example, AI-enhanced images alongside their own content. These are sometimes referred to as AI-enhanced creators.
How can I tell if a creator is AI?
Fanvue is required by law to clearly label AI creator accounts, so spotting them is straightforward. Every AI creator has an AI tag displayed in their profile bio. Just scroll to the bottom of the bio, and you'll see it there.
Refunds and AI creators
AI-generated content is permitted on Fanvue under our Terms & Conditions (Section 10.3). Subscribing to an AI creator is a purchase of access to their content, and our standard non-refundable policy applies (T&Cs Section 3.12).
All fans are required to check a creator's bio before subscribing. If the AI label is visible on the profile at the time of subscription, we are unable to issue a refund on the basis that the creator is AI - the disclosure was in place before you subscribed.
Check before you subscribe
Always scroll to the bottom of a creator's bio before subscribing to confirm whether they are AI-generated or AI-enhanced. Once you've subscribed, standard Fanvue refund terms apply.
What if a creator seems AI but has no label?
Every AI creator on Fanvue is marked with the relevant AI tag. If you believe the content is AI-generated but the creator's profile has no label, let us know at [email protected] with the creator's username, and we'll look into it!
