This article explains what payment methods are accepted and what to know before adding a card.
Accepted payment methods
Fanvue currently accepts the following:
Visa - credit and debit cards
Mastercard - credit and debit cards
Apple Pay - available on supported Apple devices (Apple Pay setup: Apple Pay Setup Guide for Fanvue Users)
Google Pay - available on supported Android devices and in Chrome
PIX - available for users based in Brazil
Cryptocurrency - via the Fanvue wallet
You do not need a bank account to use Fanvue. As long as you have a supported payment card, you can subscribe to creators and make purchases on the platform.
What is not accepted
The following payment methods are not supported on Fanvue:
Discover cards
PayPal
Zelle
Cash App
Bank transfers or direct debit
Store gift cards or vouchers
Pleas note
If your card type is not listed above as accepted, it will not work on Fanvue regardless of the available balance. Using an unsupported method will result in a declined payment.
Can I use a gift/prepaid card?
Gift or prepaid Visa and Mastercard cards are accepted on Fanvue, but for the best experience, we strongly recommend using a standard credit or debit card.
If you want to try a gift/prepaid card, the following requirements must be met:
The card must be a Visa or Mastercard gift/prepaid card
Please make sure to enter your billing details correctly
The card must have sufficient balance to cover the transaction, including any currency conversion
If you experience an issue adding a card on Fanvue, please contact our support team at [email protected].
How to add a payment card
Log in to your Fanvue account and go to Settings
Select Wallet & Payment Methods
Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV
Make sure your billing details match exactly what your card issuer has on file
Complete the 3D Secure verification if prompted - do not close the payment window until it is finished
You can add a payment method at the time of subscribing to a creator, even if you have just created your account.
Saving multiple cards
You can save multiple payment cards to your Fanvue account. To manage your saved cards, go to Settings > Wallet & Payment Methods.
How to remove my saved card?
To remove a saved payment method, navigate to your payment settings, click on the three dots next to the card you wish to remove, and select “Remove.” Please make sure to confirm your action when prompted.
What is 3D Secure and why can it be required?
3D Secure (3DS) is a security layer added by card issuers to verify your identity when making online payments. When prompted, you may need to enter a one-time code from your bank, approve the payment in your mobile banking app, pass the face verification or answer a security question.
3DS is required for the majority of card payments on Fanvue. If you do not complete the verification within the time window, the payment will fail. See our full payment troubleshooting guide: Issues with adding a card or making a payment
Billing and legal references
The price you will be charged is always shown before you confirm any payment, including VAT and applicable taxes (T&Cs, Section 3.1). Prices are displayed in your local currency based on your location; the exact amount charged may vary slightly depending on your bank's exchange rate.
