How do I unsubscribe from a creator?

Updated this week

You can cancel a subscription to any creator on Fanvue at any time. Here is how to do it, and what to do if something goes wrong.

How to unsubscribe

  1. Log in to your Fanvue account and open Settings from the top-right menu

  2. Go to Payments & Subscriptions

  3. Find the creator and click Unsubscribe

  4. Confirm when prompted, you will see a confirmation message once cancelled

What happens next

After unsubscribing, you keep access to that creator's content until the end of your current 30-day billing period (if it was a paid subscription). No further charges will be made after that.

Cancel before your renewal to avoid being charged

To avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel at least 1 or 2 hours before your renewal date or the payment may already be processing and will still go through.

This is the most common reason fans are charged after unsubscribing, the cancellation was too close to the renewal time.
If you’re not planning to continue with the subscription, we recommend cancelling as soon as possible.

How to check your renewal date

Check your next renewal date in Settings > Payments & Subscriptions > Manage My Subscriptions. The date is shown next to each active subscription.

Also, when subscribing to a creator, the subscription pop-up clearly displays the renewal amount and billing cycle for the next subscription period.

How to cancel all your subscriptions at once

All your active subscriptions are listed in Settings > Payments & Subscriptions > Manage My Subscriptions. You can unsubscribe from each one individually from this page. If you would prefer our team to cancel everything for you, email [email protected] with your registered email address, and we will handle it.

Troubleshooting

I can't find the unsubscribe option

  • Make sure you are logged into the correct Fanvue account, the one linked to the subscription charge

  • Navigate directly to: Manage My Subscriptions

  • If no subscriptions appear, the subscription may already be cancelled, or it may be linked to a different account

The unsubscribe button is not working

  • Clear your browser cache and cookies, then reload the page

  • Try a different browser (Google Chrome is recommended for better compatibility)

  • Do not open the page in a private or incognito window

  • Avoid using VPN

  • Try switching between the mobile app and your mobile browser, or between mobile and desktop

  • Disable browser extensions that may be interfering with the page

Still not working?

If none of the above works, contact us via live chat in the Help Centre or email [email protected]. Include the creator's name and describe what you see on screen. We can cancel the subscription on your behalf!

I unsubscribed, but was still charged

This is almost always caused by one of the following:

  • You did not cancel the subscription on time

  • The cancellation was not complete. Check your subscription list to confirm the status shows as cancelled

  • The charge is from a different subscription you may have forgotten about

  • The charge is a pending payment that was already in process when you cancelled

To investigate, go to Settings > Payments & Subscriptions > Manage My Subscriptions and check the status of all subscriptions. If you are certain you cancelled in time and still were charged, contact our support team and include:

  • The transaction date and amount

  • The creator's account handle

  • A screenshot of your subscription status, if possible

Do not raise a chargeback with your bank before contacting us.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting Fanvue support will result in a permanent account ban (T&Cs, Section 3.13). Our team is here to help, please reach out first.
