Do I need a W9 or 1099 form for my taxes?

Updated over a week ago

Creators paid to a U.S. bank account: Our payout partner will validate your taxpayer status and may contact you for further information by email. Under IRS rules, the payout providers qualify as electronic payment facilitators (EPFs) and therefore are the party that must issue Form 1099‑K once your gross payouts cross the IRS thresholds ($5,000 in 2024, $2,500 in 2025, $600 from 2026). They’ll e‑file with the IRS and email you a copy - nothing extra to do on your side (or Form W‑8BEN if you’re not a U.S. person).

Creators paid outside the U.S.: No W‑9 is required. Your local tax authority may ask for different information (e.g., VAT number, tax ID). Our Value Added Tax (VAT) number is GB 385 1421 00, also known as a Tax Identification Number.
