"This email cannot be used": what it means

Why you might see this message when logging in or signing up, and what you can do next.

If you see "This email cannot be used" when you try to log in or sign up, the email address is linked to an account that has been restricted, or it can't be used to create a new account.

Common reasons

  • Creator verification wasn't completed or wasn't approved. For example, the ID used isn't from a supported country, or the verification checks failed. See Why am I failing ID Verification / KYC?

  • The account was closed for breaking our Terms of Service or content rules. See Why is my account banned or suspended?

  • A payment issue, such as a chargeback raised with your bank.

  • Our security checks flagged unusual activity on the account.

What to do

  1. Check your inbox and spam folder for an email from Fanvue (an @fanvue.com address) about your account. It explains the reason and any next steps.

  2. Don't create a new account with a different email. New accounts linked to a restricted account are also restricted, and it can delay a review.

  3. If you believe this is a mistake, or you didn't get an email, contact us once from the email address on the account. Include your username and the exact error. Our team will review it and reply in the same conversation.

⚠️ Important: For your security and our users' safety, we may not be able to share every detail of why an account was restricted. Please note that some of these decisions are final.

I have active subscriptions on a restricted account

If your account has been closed, you won't be charged for new renewals.
If you see a charge you don't recognise, contact us before contacting your bank, so we can check it quickly.
