AI labels and disclosure

How AI labels work on Fanvue, how to disclose AI in chats, and what to do if a label looks wrong.

Fans have the right to know when content is AI-generated. Fanvue labels AI content, and you must also be honest about it in your bio and messages.

Where the AI label appears

When your account or content is AI, an AI label may be shown next to:

  • your profile display name

  • AI posts and pay-to-view media in chats

  • your intro video

  • discovery and recommendation cards

Which accounts need the AI label?

  • Any account with AI-generated content needs the account-level AI label, including AI-enhanced creators who also post real content.

  • Individual media can also be labelled automatically when our systems detect AI.

  • If the AI label is already showing on your profile, you don’t need to add a separate AI disclosure to your bio. However, your bio must not include anything misleading or vague that suggests you’re a real person, for example: "Some content AI-generated", “100% real” or “I use filters to edit some of my pictures"

Disclosing AI in chats

The AI label on your profile counts as disclosure, so you can stay in character. But:

  • If a fan asks directly ("Are you AI?", "Are you real?"), you must answer yes, clearly. Don't ignore, dodge, joke or deny. You can continue in character afterwards.

  • Never tell fans the AI label is wrong. This is treated as misleading fans and can lead to warnings and refunds of affected purchases.

The AI label is on my real content: what can I do?

Our systems sometimes label real content as AI.

  1. If all your content is real, contact us with your username and links to the posts. We'll send it for review.

  2. If your account has any AI content, the account label stays. To remove it, you'd need to remove the AI content first.
