Fanvue subscriptions give you access to a creator's content for a recurring monthly fee. This article explains how subscriptions work, what you get, how billing is handled, and what happens when a subscription ends.
What does a subscription include?
When you subscribe to a creator on Fanvue, you get:
Access to all subscriber-only posts and media on their profile
The ability to send and receive direct messages with that creator (subject to their settings)
Access to any subscriber-exclusive content they publish during your billing period
Subscriptions vs pay-per-view content
Pay-per-view (PPV) content is separate from subscriptions. Purchasing PPV content is a one-off payment and is not included in a subscription fee. Purchased PPV content remains accessible even after your subscription ends (unless the creator deletes the content from their page).
How does billing work?
Subscriptions are billed in 30-day cycles from the date and time of your first payment. They renew automatically unless you cancel.
The total amount you will be charged, including any applicable VAT or local taxes, is always shown on the payment screen before you confirm. There are no hidden fees.
Billing currency
Prices on Fanvue are displayed in your local currency. If you are based outside the US, you will see prices converted to your local currency and will be charged accordingly. The exact amount may vary slightly depending on your bank's exchange rate at the time of payment.
Where to find your renewal date
You can check your next renewal date at any time by going to Settings > Payments & Subscriptions > Manage My Subscriptions.
Free trials
Some creators offer a free trial period. If you join on a free trial and do not cancel before it ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription, and you will be charged the creator's standard subscription price on the day the trial expires. When subscribing to a creator, the subscription pop-up clearly displays the renewal amount and billing cycle for the next subscription period.
To avoid being charged, cancel before your trial end date. You can find the trial end date in Settings > Payments & Subscriptions > Manage My Subscriptions.
Reminder emails
Fanvue sends a reminder email before a free trial converts to a paid subscription. Make sure your registered email address is active, and check your spam folder if you are not receiving emails from Fanvue.
What happens when a subscription ends?
Access to subscriber content
When your subscription ends, either because you cancelled or because a renewal payment failed, you will lose access to that creator's subscriber-only posts and media. Your access remains active until the end of the current 30-day billing period; it does not cut off the moment you cancel.
Pay-per-view content
Any pay-per-view content you purchased separately remains accessible after your subscription ends (unless the creator decides to delete this media on their end). PPV is a one-off purchase and is not affected by subscription status.
Direct messages
Your message history with the creator remains visible in your inbox after your subscription ends. Depending on the creator's settings, you may no longer be able to send or receive new messages once your subscription has expired.
Resubscribing
You can resubscribe to a creator at any time by visiting their profile and selecting the subscription option. A new 30-day billing period begins from the date of the new payment.
Can I stop a payment that is already in progress?
No. Once a subscription payment is being processed, it cannot be stopped or reversed. This applies to renewal payments and free-trial conversions.
Fanvue's payments are non-refundable as outlined in our Fanvue's payments are non-refundable as outlined in our Terms & Conditions (Sections 3.12 and 3.14). If you believe you were charged in error, please contact our support team before raising a dispute with your bank.
How to avoid being charged for a renewal you didn't want
The best way to avoid unwanted charges is to cancel at least 1 or 2 hours before your renewal date. If you cancel closer to the estimated renewal time, the payment may already be processing and will still go through.
